What you need to know about Cognitive Improvement Claims

We all want to live a long and healthy life. We want to be mentally alert.  So its no wonder that products from dietary supplements, to foods and even smart phones are claiming “cognitive improvements”.  But before you consider entering that frothy market, be sure to read what the FDA has to say in their warning letter to Prevagen.

The Federal Trade Commission and New York State Attorney General have charged the marketers of the dietary supplement Prevagen with making false and unsubstantiated claims that the product improves memory, provides cognitive benefits, and is “clinically shown” to work.
